Mars: Mission to Mars

Today the science and technology is continuously adopting place in the world and increasing at a rapid rate. In past years our ancestors might be predicted to explore things out of the earth, for them exploring space might be a topic of fiction but the technology of today and the scientist has extracted this fiction topic to the reality.

Humans now have started to study the mysterious world of space and planets, and for the upcoming years going to space would be like a piece of cake.

Space agencies around the world now trying to develop the independent habitat on Mars (red planet) till 2030.

Elon Musk CEO of SpaceX is highly confident about sending humans on Mars by 2026. He has planned about building colonies on Mars and sustainable cities.

Why humans are going only to mars-

According to the research of the various space agencies, it is found that Mars is the only planet that is more suitable and easy for the migration of humans. Mars is close to the earth and also have an atmosphere layer. Rovers which are sent to the mars are continuously doing research there and sending pictures of the mars surface to the Earth.

Indian mission of Mars-

India created a new history by successfully launching Mangalyaan in the orbit of Mars on 24 September 2014. India achieved this milestone in its first attempt itself. The biggest thing to proud was that India is the first country to do so in the first attempt with a very low budget.

Countries like America, Russia and the European Union had to make many efforts and many unsuccessful attempts to achieve this success. Even countries like China and Japan were not able to touch this achievement so far. It has become the fourth country in the club of important countries of the three successful countries after sending Mangalyaan.

Journey of Mangalyaan

This mission was named MOM (AOM) meaning 'Marsh Orbiter Mission'. The Chief LAM was inaugurated by the scientists of the Indian Space Research Organization in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. And eight small thrusters were ignited. It took about a year for it to reach the orbit of Mars, the red planet. Regarding the success of this mission, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi had said that 'MOM' will not let us down.

World's cheapest mission of space-

Mangalyaan mission is counted among the cheapest missions in the world. Only Rs 450 crore was spent on this mission. The total weight of Mangalyaan was 1350 kg.

When this vehicle reached its appointed place after covering a distance of 666 million km from the beginning of the campaign, Indian scientists jumped with joy and started congratulating each other.

Our politicians also did not lag behind in congratulating them. And the world eye was on India creating such an unbreakable record. The whole world congratulated India on achieving this milestone.

The President, Vice President, Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi and other leaders not only congratulated the scientists who worked actively and relentlessly to make this mission a success, but also congratulated everyone involved in it.

The Mangalyaan Maven, sent by NASA, entered the orbit of Mars on September 22, 2014. In comparison, the cost of Mangalyaan sent by India was one-tenth of the expenditure on Maven.

India's strong position globally-

Mangalnayak was sent to study the surface of the Mars and its mineral components, even before this vehicle was attempted by 51 missions by different countries. Of these, only 21 missions were successful. Given this failure rate, the success of 'MOM' is remarkable. This strengthened India's global position in the field of space. India is the first Asian country to taste such amazing success.

First picture of Mars from Mangalyaan-

The Mangalyaan, which India had placed in its orbit on September 24, 2014, sent the first image of Mars the very next day. Others made the picture public by writing that 'the view here is very good'. In a picture sent from there, the surface of Mars is shown in orange color with dark spots on it.

India's Mars mission is a wonderful achievement of the world of science. With this mission, Gyrat showed the world that he did not lag behind in the world of space missions. The way Mangalan is giving new information about the red planet, in the same way, India will get success in other missions as well.

India is growing in the field of space after having a lot of these like achievements. On February 15, 2017, another feat touched was, PSLV-C37 which was launched by ISRO from Satish Dhawan Space Centre. It carried 104 satellites and the mission was successfully executed.
